IN an effort to lend a helping hand to families across Guyana during the COVID-19 outbreak, the Empower Guyana Consultancy has been preparing and delivering packages of relief, hygiene and sanitation supplies, according to a release by the firm’s Founder, Amar Panday.

In addition to the individual families these packages will touch, the company will also distribute similar packages to several Children and Elderly Homes across the country. So far packages of relief have been distributed in Regions 3, 4 and 10.
As further resources are mobilised, the consultancy is confident that the distribution would be able to reach all the Regions of Guyana.

The consultancy stated that the endeavour is in keeping with the humanitarian mandate enshrined in its mission statement. Further, it stated that it expects that these efforts would aid in some significant part in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. It added that one of its main concerns is with the preparedness and response capacity of vulnerable families, communities and institutions.
