GTT Mobile Money partners to make life easier and safer

– reminds customers of MMG payment option for all bill payments

AS Guyana continues to face the global pandemic of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) has established new partnerships with several businesses to help reduce movement in public spaces.

In light of the restrictions on the public and the call for citizens to remain at home unless it is absolutely necessary – Bounty Supermarket, Hero Cart, and One Cart have moved to use MMG as a convenient payment option.

GTT’s Public Relations Manager, Jasmin Harris, said, “the collaborations are timely, especially since staying home is ideal to flattening the curve and ensuring the health and safety of all Guyanese.”

The Public Relations Manager reminded persons of the multiuse of MMG to make bill payments from the convenience of their homes. She said, “we want to encourage persons to utilize this service, not only for the ease of transaction but also for their safety, by avoiding crowds during this time.”

Customers can avoid the lines with Bounty Supermarket’s delivery option and top up their wallets with Hero Carts and One Cart. “We are making life easier for customers through partnerships; if a customer needs to load their MMG wallet they can call Hero Carts on 623 3500 or One Cart on 627-3977; if they need groceries, they can order from the nearest Bounty Supermarket and pay with MMG. Utilizing these options means we are all doing our part to flatten the curve and combat this virus,” said Harris.

Persons who do not have an MMG account can register online at www.mmg.gtt.co.gy/register and be able to access their account within 24hrs. The MMG service, which is Guyana’s first mobile financial service introduced in 2013, enables users to purchase credit, send and receive money in addition to paying bills using their mobile phones.
