THE prime suspect in the murder of 37-year-old Bartica school teacher, Natoya Speede, has been admitted to the hospital in the Region Seven town under police guard.

Reports are that the man, who has been identified as Orrin King, was found with self-inflicted wounds.

Around 20:00hrs on Friday night, the suspect took the woman and her two children to a desolate area along a trail leading to the Bartica airstrip.

On the way, the two were embroiled in an argument and the assailant attacked the woman with an axe. The woman’s two children fled the scene.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
