
THE police are investigating the circumstances that led to the discovery of the body of a man in a trench on Church Street.
According to Commander of `A’ Division, P. Azore, around 17:45hrs the police received a call via 911 about a body in the trench. They responded, cordoned off the scene and proceeded to extract the body. The man appears to be in his late 40s or early 50s.

The dead man was dressed in a tee shirt, pants and boots and a birth certificate was in one of the pockets. However, the commander said because of the condition of the document and the fact that it was wet, the police were unable to decipher the name.
