SIGNALLING their strong support for Guyana as a Tourism Destination, Members of the Diplomatic Community Corps came together on Thursday for a photo in front of the recently-erected ‘I LOVE GUYANA’ sign.
U.S Ambassador, Sarah-Ann Lynch; Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, Dr. K J Srinivasa; Canada High Commissioner to Guyana, Lilian Chatterjee; United Nations (UN)Resident Coordinator and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative, Ms. Mikiko Tanaka; and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Representative, Sophie Makonnen, were among the diplomats. The diplomats were presented with I LOVE GUYANA bags, hats and jerseys from Impressions Inc.
The endorsement by the diplomatic community comes approximately one month after it was commissioned. The sign is located on the lawns of the Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry LTD (GBTI) at High & Young streets Kingston Georgetown. It was constructed by the GBTI in collaboration with Impressions and the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG).
