MAGISTRATE Clive Nurse, on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, granted $450,000 total bail to three men on a break and enter and larceny charge.
Karl Mangal, 28, of Princess Street Lodge; Rodwell Phillips, 30, a mason of Broad Street Charlestown, and Leonard Allicock, 30, a fisherman of Albouystown, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and denied the charge, when it was read to them.
Particulars of the charge stated that, on December 21, 2019, at Charlestown, they broke and entered the Golden Bridge bond and stole twenty-five children’s bicycles valued at $300,000 and a quantity of baby clothing valued at $332,000, property of Tee-Shin-Lee called George.
Attorney-at-law Fung-a-Fat who represented Mangal and Phillips requested the court to grant his clients reasonable bail.
Magistrate Nurse released each of the men on $150,000 bail and adjourned the matter until January 7, 2020.
