WITH just one day left until 2019 Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club Boxing Day horse race, Trophy Stall has lent its support by donating the Champion Jockey shield to Club president Cecil Kennard.

The brief ceremony, held at the Orange Walk, Bourda South Road business location, featured the presentation of the trophy to Justice Kennard on behalf Trophy Stall CEO Ramesh Sunich.

Sunich also presented trophies for the champion trainer and runner-up champion jockey. Torginol Paints and KSM Investments were also the latest sponsors to hop on board within the past week.

The Turf at Bush Lot, Berbice will come alive within the next 24 hours as 7 different groups will compete for almost $2M in prize money, with the ‘Metro Million Mile Open’ being the feature race with a $1M purse set for the winner.

The million-dollar race will be complemented by other exciting categories such as: L NON-EARNER, H & L LOWER, 2-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN, L NON-WINNER, J & K LOWER and L OPEN. Each class fetches lucrative 1st to 4th place prizes which range from $250 000 to $130 000.
