AKILI Haynes toppled the competition as he captured the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA)/West Indian Sports Complex Under-19 title last Sunday, at the National Gymnasium.
The final tournament for 2019 saw a number of top individual and tag-team performances by some of Guyana’s finest badminton players. After running through the preliminary stages, a spirited Haynes captured his crown after he defeated Tyrese Jeffrey in two sets; 21-18, 21-12.
