DAMIAN Jagroop is a well known photographer/videographer who has a YouTube channel and also plays a major role in the ‘CoolBoyz’ entertainment group. The days of his childhood were quite adventurous and fun; he was always a very outgoing and funny individual. He was known as the entertainer of his friend circles, always the one to come up with hilarious jokes and pranks—surely, not much has changed. Damian grew up in a breaded Guyanese/Berbician home. Here is where he experienced a ‘true’ Guyanese living/lifestyle. His exposure to such a lifestyle is what fuels his ideas that influence the types of videos that he produces. Jagroop always had a passion for art and being creative and as such, he made up his mind to pursue it. He also expressed that he owes most of his success to his very supportive and encouraging parents.

In the process of creating entertainment content for ‘Damian CoolBoyz’ YouTube channel, this Berbician youth managed to achieve the spot of becoming Guyana’s #1 YouTuber. Damian also started his very own career as a professional photographer and has managed to trail on top, becoming one of Berbice’s leading photographers. The number one challenge that he faces thus far is balancing the steady demands for his videography/photography work. He claims that his passion for both photography and videography ‘just happened’– as if it is innate. The content and creative thinking somehow come naturally and he feeds off that natural energy to create. Damian has to balance his work life and all that he does in the creative/entertainment industry, while being committed to his family and his life as a Christian.

Apart from his well known videography/photography content, the 24-year-old Berbician also assists his father in co-partnering an auto spare parts business (CoolBoyz Autoparts). And as if his life isn’t already well accomplished—he is also a soon-to-be father. For the future, Damian’s plans are mainly to continue entertaining his supportive fans, satisfying his clientele and he wants to continue to earn an honest living. Being happy, contented and having a great and closely knit family life is also what he is aiming for. Damian also wishes to expand on his photography/videography skills, business plans and platforms.
