A MAN who was sentenced in absentia to two years imprisonment returned on police radar when he threatened to kill a mother of six, who is a nursery school teacher.
The perpetrator was identified as taxi driver, Stravo Evans, who had many brushes with the law, and was even charged along with a group of men accused of carrying out a multi-million-dollar robbery at the Bourda Post Office in 2015.
Evans was also previously investigated in cases that involved armed robbery, abduction and murder.
Police said he operates a taxi, a silver grey Toyota 212 car with registration HC 5463 in the vicinity of Middle Road La Penitence, Georgetown. “Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the accused is asked to contact the nearest police station,” Police said.
The school teacher became a prisoner in her school compound when Evans showed up at the school on Thursday to harm her.

The petrified woman related that on Thursday, she contacted the police and explained what had occurred. A mobile patrol was sent to the school and she was escorted to the Police Station where she gave a statement.
The teacher was subsequently escorted to her home by the police who reportedly searched her house and surroundings to ensure that the perpetrator was not on the premises.
However, on Friday morning, she received messages from Evans where he displayed a firearm and sent a voice note on WhatsApp threatening to end her life.
She noted that threats were also made against her children. On Friday, acting Crime Chief, Michael Kingston contacted the divisional detective to address the matter and to arrest Evans.
The police were also provided with all the evidence that the teacher possessed pertaining to the threats against her life.
