A 66-year-old man, who was nabbed at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri, with over 200 grams of cocaine, will, today, (August 15, 2019) be placed before Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer the charge.

Andrew Roderick, who was an out-going passenger on his way to the United States, was nabbed by ranks attached to the Police Narcotics Branch stationed at the airport, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
According to reports, on the day in question, the elderly man was seen acting in a suspicious manner and was searched by the ranks. The drugs were unearthed in a pair of shoes he was wearing.
The two packages which were wrapped in black tape were tested positive for cocaine, were weighed in his presence and amounted to 290 grams.
