THE faces of three women lit up at the Suddie Public Hospital in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) after delivering healthy babies on Mother’s Day.

Kirti Basso delivered a healthy baby boy at 10h37 on Sunday. The 26-year-old mother said she was happy to deliver a boy, since she already has a little girl.

Kirti and her husband, Davindra Krishna were at the time contemplating the name of the child. She thanked the nurses who attended to her for their patience.

Another mother, Narisha Khan, who was also in the ward, was overwhelmed with joy,as she also gave birth to a baby boy.

“Being a mother is the best feeling in the world,” Khan said. “I am happy to be a mother again on Mother’s Day.”

Another woman from Waramuri, Region One (Barima-Waini) , also delivered at the Suddie Hospital on Mother’s Day. Renita Marks was very happy to become a mother for the first time.
The new mothers were all presented with hampers, compiments of the Essequibo chapter of the Dharmic Nawjawan.
