MARVIN John, of Lot 4, Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Providence Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, charged with having 157.6 grammes of marijuana in his possession.

John pleaded guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $100,000; he was unrepresented by counsel.

According to the prosecution, ranks from the Grove Police Station, acting on a tip-off on Sunday, October 28, 2018, carried out a search at the afore-stated address and John was found in possession of the drug.

John will have to return to court on May 13, 2019, for the continuation of his case.
