AKASH Rampher today appeared before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Providence Magistrate’s Court, charged with driving under the influence .

It is alleged that while Rampher was operating his motor vehicle along the Providence Public Road on Monday, April 22, 2019, he was stopped by the police. A breathalyzer test was conducted on him and was found to have alcohol in his system that was above the legal limit. .
Rampher pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined $ 7500 or seven days in prison.
