ESSEQUIBO businessman Naime Sabar aka Wardog of Section B Vilvorden, Essequibo Coast was, on April 15, beaten and robbed by masked men.

The robbery occurred between 20:30 hours and 21:30 hours. According to the businessman, he was robbed some $11M worth of goods and cash. The businessman related that he had left his wife, Alyia Shaw, and children home and went on the road and when he returned he saw seven men, clad in black and wearing face masks, in his house.
The men were armed with long guns. He said that one of the men approached him and started to kick and beat him about his body. They then tied him up and took him into his house where his wife and children were. They continued to beat him and demanded money. He said he had some $7 million in his room and he took one of the men in and handed it over to him. He was then taken outside of his yard where his Canter truck was parked and the men took $4 million dollars worth in phones after which they went away. Sabar later made a report to the Aurora Police Station. Police are investigating the matter.
