PRIME Minister Moses Nagamootoo and Mrs Sita Nagamootoo attended a Farewell Dinner for Mexican Ambassador, H.E. Ivan Roberto Sierra Medel, who left Guyana on Friday last after concluding his tour of duty.

Ambassador Medel, during his tenure here, promoted stronger relations between Mexico and Guyana, and played a great role in opening the Mexican market for Guyana’s paddy and rice. The Dinner was hosted at the Chinese Embassy by Ambassador Cui Jianchun and Mrs Huili Liang, with other guests of honour being Indian High Commissioner, H.E.

Venkatachalam Mahalingam and Mrs Mahalingam; and Russian Federation Ambassador H.E. Alexander Kurmaz and Mrs Kurmaz.
