After the ‘ganja’ was discovered, further search was carried out in the latrine pit area of the yard, where they found another set of stems, leaves and seeds. Ramascindo was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. The magistrate granted him bail at the sum of $200,000 and he is expected to report to the Mabaruma Police Station every Friday. He was also told that failure to comply with the terms will lead to his bail being revoked.
