Dear Editor,
I AM appalled and disappointed that I see nothing in the media to offer even a word of sympathy to the people of Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
A cyclone, which started last week, has taken nearly a thousand lives and left a million persons displaced.
We are a country that is making a fuss over a few Venezuelans.
Is it that our civil society, political or religious leaders don’t regard the people of Southern Africa as God’s children?
If Forbes Burnham was alive, he would have led a Caribbean response to this week-old human tragedy.
