POPULAR Designer Sonia Noel will today launch her book “Women Across borders – Rising from the Ashes” on Amazon with free downloads as a gift for International Women’s Day to be celebrated tomorrow.
This is the third anthology to be launched by Noel, with “Women Across Borders Filling Purpose and With a Mission” being launched last year with co-authors from Africa, France, Suriname, Venezuela, USA and Guyana.
These anthologies will be at a special price for the rest of Women’s History Month, Noel told Guyana Chronicle on Wednesday.
She explained that “Women Across Borders – Rising from the Ashes” is a collection featuring 11 courageous women “giving us a front row seat to part of their journeys.”
“Life sometimes throws you a curve that puts you in the valley and you may ask ‘Why me?’ ‘Why not you?’ In life, we have seasons and we need to celebrate every stage. These women from different parts of the world rise from the valley and climb back to the mountain top. Their stories will motivate you and encourage you. No matter what challenges us, we all can rise from the deepest valley or mountain top,” Noel expressed.
Some of the co-authors shared their inspiring journeys at “Inspire You” which was held at the Pegasus Hotel last Sunday, where the “Women in Business” expo was held.
The co-authors from Guyana are Walerine Mc Leod, Renneann Hodge, Sherri Garraway and Dr. Colleen Bovell. The other co-authors are Dr. Safeefa Mohammed (Trinidad), Lynette Laveau Saxe (Massachusetts), Hilda Bournes (Mississippi), Shanon Paar (Arizona), Jaymie Bowles, Morrish and Sylvia Ward.
“I encourage people to tell their stories and admire these women who are not afraid to be vulnerable while sharing their journeys to motivate others,” Noel urged.
A workshop on “How to write and publish your book” will be hosted in April.
