THE Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTY&SC) recently donated a number of scorebooks to the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) as part of the club’s massive Cricket Developmental Programme.
According to Secretary/CEO of the club, Hilbert Foster, the donation was made possible through the Odyssey Transportation Service Inc., which donated 60 scorebooks valued over $200 000 to the club.
Foster further mentioned that the scorebooks will be donated to clubs across Berbice. General Manager of Odyssey Transportation Service Inc., Troy Khan, stated that his company was pleased to be associated with the club.
Foster expressed gratitude to the business entity for its continued confidence in the club and reassured them that the scorebooks will be used for the intended purpose.
Foster disclosed that in 2019 clubs will also receive more cricket balls and white T-shirts while several of the county’s leading junior cricketers will receive their personal cricket kits.
Great efforts will also be made to obtain pitch covers for at least three grounds. Foster is also working overtime to raise funds to construct an outdoor practice facility.
