A 50-year-old Kwakwani Hill-Foot, Upper Berbice River logger was on Thursday remanded to prison for cultivating cannabis.

Don Taylor, Called “Dajit”, made an appearance before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Wismar Magistrate’s Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that, on February 11, 2019, he cultivated the prohibited plant at Hururu Mission, Upper Berbice River.

Taylor was remanded to prison until March 1, 2019. The matter was transferred to the Kwakwani Magistrate’s Court for report and fixture.
