A 42-YEAR-OLD Belle West, West Bank Demerara (WBD) resident was, on Tuesday, February 05, 2019, remanded to prison for sodomising four underaged boys.

Stepheon Phillips, appeared before Magistrate Zamilla Ally-Seepaul at the Leonora Magistrates’ Court, where the four charges were read in-camera and he was not required to plead.

Particulars of the four charges alleged that, on January 31, 2019, at Belle WBD, Phillips engaged in sexual penetration with the four boys, all under the age of 16.
He was remanded to prison until February 28, 2019.

According to reports, on Thursday, January 31, 2019, residents from the Belle West, West Bank Demerara community, dismantled and torched parts of Phillips’ shack where the four boys were found.
Ranks from the Wales Police Station were summoned to the village and Phillips was arrested.

The villagers had suspected Phillips of preying on minor boys in the area but they did not have evidence to prove their claims.
However, on the day in question, a boy from the area went missing and was found in Phillips’ shack, along with the three other victims.
