… $600 000 up for grabs for the winner

THE Magnum Mash Futsal Championship will be returning for a second edition at the National Gymnasium from February 2 to March 2, with 32 teams battling for a winners’ purse of $600 000.

Launched yesterday at the Windjammer Hotel in Kitty, the tournament, which has the National Sports Commission (NSC) and Ansa McAl as its main sponsors, will be played on a round-robin format then knockout stage on February 5, 9, 13, 16, 19, 21, and 24, with the grand finale set for March 2.

Apart from the attractive prize money for the winners, the team finishing second will pocket $350 000 and third place $200 000.

Gold is Money, Sparta Boss, Back Circle, Future Stars, Bent Street, Leopold Street, Albouystown, Tiger Bay, Avocado Ballers, Broad Street, North East La Penitence, Sophia, Showstoppers, Stabroek Ballers, Gaza Squad, California Square, Swag Entertainment, Ol Skool Ballers, Agricola, Mocha, Buxton Diamond, Silver Bullets and Ansa All-Stars are expected to be among the competing teams.
