A PARTNERSHIP between Copa Airlines and Banks DIH will bring Christmas cheer to 250 senior citizens living in the East Coast communities of Ogle, Cummings Lodge and Industry.

The two companies donated 21 cases of 24-oz ginger beer to the Ogle-Industry-Cummings Lodge Senior Citizens Group as a timely and welcome gift for invitees to the group’s 65th annual social event for less fortunate persons 65 years of age or older.

The companies presented their donation to the group at a brief handing-over ceremony attended by Brand Manager of Non-Alcoholic Malts at Banks DIH, Clayton McKenzie, Copa Airlines staff and group representative Marlon McKellar.

Copa Airlines and Banks DIH representatives said they were pleased to give meaningful support to this positive and active group as they brighten the lives of less fortunate senior citizens during the Christmas season.

While accepting the companies’ donation, Marlon McKellar said, “We would like to express our gratitude to your organisations for assisting us in making this 65th event for our anniversary a success. Thank you very much for your assistance.”

On behalf of the donors, Copa Airlines’ Sales Manager, Nadine Oudkerk said the company is pleased to support a cause that would benefit the elderly and less fortunate in society.

“Copa Airlines gives back to society in ways that are meaningful. We are pleased to help in whatever way we can to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

“We are also heartened that the group has been doing its bit to assist the elderly members of the communities it represents. Keep up the good work and we hope that the senior citizens enjoy what has been planned for them.”

The senior citizens’ social activity will be held at the Cummings Lodge Secondary School on December 16 at noon.
