A CENTURY from Kevin Sinclair propelled the Rose Hall Town (RHT) Gizmos and Gadgets to a crushing 202-run win over Young Warriors in the final of the Pepsi 50-over tournament over the weekend.

The 21st successful cricket tournament completed by the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) was played in front of a sizeable crowd under lights at the Albion Community Centre ground.

RHT Gizmos and Gadgets stormed to 318 all out in their allotted overs with Sinclair hitting 130 (16×4, 2×6). Support came from Kevlon Anderson with 76 (5×4) and Clinton Pestano with 59 (5×4, 5×6).

Young Warriors in reply were routed for 116 in 38 overs after captain Shawn Pereira, Anderson and Eon Hooper combined for seven wickets. Pereira took 3-26, while Anderson grabbed 2-5 and Hooper 2-16.

Linden Austin led Young Warriors with 24.runs.

BCB president Hilbert Foster at the presentation ceremony expressed gratitude to DDL and Pepsi for their investment into Berbice cricket.
