THREE teenagers were on Friday remanded to prison after they were arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for the murder of a 45-year-old drug addict, who was stabbed to death on Leopold Street, Georgetown last Saturday.
John McKenzie, 19 and a Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation employee along with his two accomplices, both 15, was not required to plea to the capital offence which alleged that on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Leopold Street they murdered a human being named ‘Buckman.’
McKenzie was remanded to prison, while the two 15-year-olds were placed in custody at the juvenile holding centre.
The police had reported that on November 17 about 22:45, “Buckman” and the three teens were involved in an argument after he stopped buying drugs from them.
One of the teens allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the man several times before making good his escape.
After the stabbing, the 45-year-old man was rushed to the GPHC where he succumbed to his injuries.
