Annandale in the lead after 8 rounds

ANNANDALE Secondary School are leaders of the GUYOIL/Tradewind Tankers Schools Football league which is set to continue today at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.

The leaders will have a chance to continue atop the table when they play match three against third-placed Christiansburg Wismar Secondary.
The East Coast side have a one-goal advantage over second-placed Lodge Secondary who are also in action in the opening game against Queenstown from 11:30hrs

Both first and second in the league have played eight games, amassing 24 points and going undefeated so far as they play for a spot in the KFC Goodwill tournament next month.
In other games carded for today, St Rose’s High (12th place) take on fifth-place Uitvlugt in the second game at 13:15hrs while game three is the Annandale/Christianburg Wismar clash.

Bishops’ High (6th place) will go toe-to-toe with fourth-placed Vergenoegen at 16:45hrs to close off the day’s proceedings.
On Monday, Dolphin who currently hold eighth place will play Charlestown who are seventh from 15:30hrs and Marian Academy (9th place) and 11th-placed Queen’s College will clash.
