GUYANA Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) on Wednesday launched its ‘GTT +Sized Christmas’ Promotion at the Stabroek Market Square.
Hundreds of patrons gathered around as they received lots of giveaways of free credit and other items. The event was filled with fun and excitement as acts such as the Euphoria Dance Group, Mark Kazim (Chinee Man), DJ Energy, Calvin Burnette, Kwasi Ace and the FAME band entertained the crowd, as Lyndon “Jumbie” Jones kept everyone engaged.
GTT’s CEO Justin Nedd revealed the company’s intention to spend $8 million in cash and prizes with more winners this year. He stated that Christmas is a big deal for Guyanese, so as the “do more company” they are giving more to several communities across Guyana. “It will be a +Sized Christmas with GTT this year where one lucky winner will be the owner of the grand prize BMW X1, which comes with one year free insurance as well as one year free Super 95 gas from GuyOil,” Nedd revealed.
GTT is also collaborating with Guyoil; this Christmas they will be doing it big with its biggest data plan ever: 10GB data for only $5,999.
With every top up of $1000 or more or by activating any three-day or more data plan you get a character to help spell out “+More”: Weekly winners of 10GB data, $10,000 credit and $10,000 Super50 gas from Guyoil.
Rhonda Allicock, GTT’s Head of Mobile, explained how the promotion works. She said prepaid customers get a character(s) to spell out ‘+MORE’ whenever they top up $1,000 or more or purchase a three-day or more data plan. “In other words, once they spell the phrase ‘+MORE’ they get a chance to win weekly prizes or grand prizes. Twenty-one weekly winners will be given one of three prizes: $10,000 credit, 10GB of Data or Super95 gas voucher from our partner, GuyOil. Our postpaid customers only need to pay their bill on time and in full to get an entry.” Allicock continued to explain that there is a third element whereby customers can purchase letters for $500 each to secure an entry.
GTT’s grand finale event will be hosted at the Stabroek Market where four lucky finalists will compete in a series of obstacle filled activities to vie for the grand prize of the BMW X1.
