THE City Constabulary Department is responsible for securing the council’s assets, which include all buildings such as markets, daycare centres, health centres and all other assets that are the properties of the council.

The office of mayor, regardless of who that person is, is afforded one security personnel and the residence is provided with security personnel that operate on a shift system from 7am to 3pm; 3pm to 11pm; and 11pm to 7am.

This security detail was provided to all other past mayors, among them Robert Williams, Ranwell Jordan and Hamilton Green.
