THE Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has presented footballs to two Member Associations in the lead-up to the national roll-out of the GFF-Kool Kidz Grassroots programme, scheduled for Saturday, November 3.
The presentation of 25 footballs for each association was made by GFF president Wayne Forde to Technical Development Officers of the East Bank Demerara and East Demerara football associations respectively.
The balls were given to aid in the execution of the national grassroots programme, which seeks to, among others, expand the player population of children in the 6-12 years old age group across Guyana.
Presentation of similar equipment will be made to each Member Association later in the week for the programme, which will be held in partnership with the Guyana Beverages Inc.,, and is scheduled to take place every Saturday in each of the nine Member Associations.
According to the GFF, GFF-Kool Kidz grassroots programme will feature fun football activities to effectively introduce children to the sport.
