EIGHT outstanding National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) students, also RightStart account holders of Republic Bank Guyana Limited, were honoured on Friday at a special ceremony during their school’s assembly.
The students are all from Queen’s College and included: Zyia Brathwaite, Cianna Barkoye, Jaya Jamuna, Amaya Ramsarup, Matthew Singh, Alexander Persaud, Danielle Ramlall and Krystel Gangadin.
They each received a RightStart Gift Certificate and a special gift.
In the feature address, Manager, Internal Audit at Republic Bank Mr. Oral Rose, congratulated the awardees for their exceptional performance and commended the parents for the support they provided.
He encouraged the awardees to continue to give of their best in all they endeavour to do academically and to make use of opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities.
These, he highlighted, will aid in their development as to ensure they become rounded individuals.
Well wishes also came from the bank’s board of directors, management and staff, according to a media release.
This activity is an annual feature for Republic Bank which focuses on encouraging academic excellence among Guyana’s youth by recognising and rewarding the academic milestones of its RightStart account holders.
