Buzzing this Weekend

IT’S time for the weekend again, people! There are quite a few big events going off this weekend with a particular DJ celebrating his birthday. The Circus continues tonight and throughout the weekend.

With Halloween almost here there’s also a few pre-Halloween events to warm you up. So don’t stay cooped up at home.

Today
Head out and support Cancer Awareness! Roraima Duke Lodge presents Open Mic. Head out and experience local talent, or share your own. It’s always a good time. Ten per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the Guyana Cancer Foundation. Starting time is 19:00hrs.

Bravo Arts is teaming up with the Giftland Mall to bring you a Halloween experience like never before in Guyana. It’s “Halloween Fest: Halloween Village and Grand Horror House”. Halloween Village includes spooky games, face painting, special effects makeup, spooky treats, Halloween crafting, pumpkin carving, costume competition, trick or treating and much more, not to forget the large horror house which is not for the faint of heart.

Tomorrow
Pulse Entertainment and the Strip Restaurant and Bar presents “Blood Rain: Halloween J’ouvert Party”! It’s going to be water, foam and powder, so get your flip flops, shorts and tees ready for this one. Music by DJ Ryan, DJ Anisah, DJ Shizzle and Entertainer Kerwin. Ladies free before 20:00hrs. MBK Family Entertainment brings to you their annual OVO Party at Club 704! This year they’re Going Pitch Black! Admission: $2,000 (More at the Door)

Get your Costumes ready and prepare to be blown away! Feed the Flames presents the biggest live rock show of the year, a pre-Halloween show called “Border Clash: The all- black edition” at the Girls Guide Association on Brickdam, will feature three foreign bands, for the first time in Guyana – Bon Cane from Trinidad, Carnage and Aeons of disorder from French Guiana. Supporting local bands include Celestial Burn, Ettu Brutus and Feed The Flames
