THE Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) has issued a wanted bulletin for Rosemary Singh aka Rose, in connection with the interception of the 81kg of cocaine found on a vessel in Canada last month.
In a release late Thursday night, CANU identified Rosemary Singh as a resident of Lot 123 Ramsingh Street, Annandale, East Coast Demerara and 153 South Annandale, East Coast Demerara. The woman is also the proprietor of Rose Bar at Section C Enterprise.
CANU said the woman is wanted in connection to the interception of cocaine, which was found on a vessel in Canada on September 15, 2018. “Anyone knowing her whereabouts is kindly asked to make contact with CANU HQ – 227-3507, 226-0431,” CANU said in the release.
In a release on September 17, 2018, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said with support from the Canada Border Services Agency, it conducted a major drug seizure (suspected cocaine). It noted that 81 kilos were seized by CBSA at the Port of Valleyfield. The drug was concealed in the hold of a vessel coming from Guyana.
In that release, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police disclosed that four persons were arrested, two of whom were charged with conspiracy to import drug for the purpose of trafficking. Those persons were identified as Roldan De Gorio Titom, 36, and Nazir Ahmad Hussain, 48. Based on investigations conducted by the Canadian authorities, investigation thus far has suggests that seized drugs were headed for the Toronto and Vancouver markets.
