Taxi driver gets bail on charge for allegedly raping school girl

TWENTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Sadick Ally, a driver of Anna Regina Housing Scheme in Region Two, was on Friday last granted bail for allegedly raping a 13-year-old school girl.
He made his first appearance in the matter before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court. He pleaded not guilty to the offence of rape of a child under the age of 16 years old.

The facts of the matter stated that on March 3, 2017 at a hotel in Perseverance, a village on the Essequibo Coast, Ally took the 13-year-old and had sexual intercourse.
Information revealed that the girl was caught and she admitted that it was a forceful act and gave her parents the driver’s name. The matter was reported to the police who then launched an investigation

Ally was granted in the sum of $150,000 and the matter was adjourned until July 30.
