POLICE are investigating the murder of a Sixth Street, Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara man who was discovered with marks of violence around his neck at his home on Monday morning.

Dead is Jason Rejendra Lall Hira.

Police said the man was killed between 01:30hrs and 05:30hrs Monday. Investigators discovered marks of violence around the deceased’s neck and an autopsy conducted on Monday morning revealed that he died from compression injuries to the neck.

Three persons have been taken into custody including the grand-parents and an uncle of the victim. According to the police investigations the grandfather of Hira informed that the man, who was an alcoholic, went home about 01:30hrs on Monday intoxicated. Around 05:30hrs he was discovered seated motionless on an inside toilet. Investigations are ongoing.
