THE Blairmont Centre Cricket Club (BCCC) received two sets of cricket clothing (coloured and white uniforms) the fulfilment of a promise by Trophy Stall and Mike’s Floor Covering Inc. of New York.

This donation was obtained about through the efforts and based on the successes of Blairmont U-15 and U-13 teams. They were crowned champions of the inaugural Guyana Floodlight Softball Association and Wellmen U-13 tourneys in 2017. Mike’s Floor Covering Inc. has given the club 15 pairs of white uniforms, while Trophy Stall supplied 15 coloured clothing.

BCCC executives and members expressed gratitude to Mr Neil Ramesh Sunich (Trophy Stall) and Mr Michael Balkaran (Mike’s Floor Cover Inc.) for this pleasing gesture. Captain of the U-15 A team, Shreedatt Rupnarine, also offered words of thanks and assured the kind donors that their contributions will go towards its intended purpose in assisting the U-15 teams.

BCCC is ranked among some of the best clubs in Guyana such as Demarara Cricket Club (DCC), Albion Cricket Club, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) and Rose Hall Town Young and Sports Club (RHTYSC)

The BCCC has produced several players for Berbice and Guyana. Quite recently the club copped the Most Improved Club award at the Berbice Cricket Board awards ceremony. BCCC has 10 active teams, U-13, U-15 ‘A’ & ‘B’ teams, U-17, U-19, U-21, two Second Division teams, one First Division and an Over-40 team.
