SUREIA Manufacturing, under the popular Juicy Juice brand, has partnered with the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) to sponsor the association’s Under-13 League which will kick off shortly.
On Friday, at the sponsor’s Eccles Industrial Site headquarters, CEO and founder Frank Sanichara, in the presence of Brand Manager Selwyn Bobb, EBFA president Franklin Wilson, secretary Wayne Francois and Executive committee member Devnon Winter expressed delight at being associated with the EBFA through sponsorship of the U-13 League.
“We’re happy to be part of this process and to be a sponsor of this football competition especially for kids.”
Having been approached by Wilson to get on board, Sanichara said that he had no hesitation in getting on board noting that his company’s pleasure in giving back to kids.
“One of the things is that it is important for, not only my company but also other companies to be involved in youth development. I must compliment the EBFA for the work that they have been doing.
By doing this, we can always keep the kids busy and keep them away from the streets, from drugs and at the same time they’ll be able to live a much healthier life.

The young businessman also stated that it is important to promote healthy products for kids: “Diabetes has been an epidemic not only in Guyana but around the world and I would like to see kids using much healthier products.”
Wilson extended thanks to Sureia and Juicy Juice for accepting the association’s offer to play a part in the development of the youths who will be ultimately aiming to don national colours in the future.
“I know for a fact that they are going to love this tournament, as you would have noticed that the trophies are huge by U-13 standards. We want to encourage persons along the East Bank to support juicy juice because the more you support, the more the company would be able to give back, not only to East Bank football but also to football beyond the East Bank.”
The top four teams would be rewarded with the top three receiving medals. The Most Valuable Player, Highest Goals Scorer, Best Goalkeeper and Best Coach would also be rewarded. More details on the competing teams, rules, venue and fixtures would be released in the new week.
