A 42-year-old jet man (miner) was on Wednesday charged for engaging in sexual activity with his 14-year-old female relative.

Faron Hercules called “Old Fire” of Port Kaituma appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus and was not required to plea to the charge which was held in camera.

The particulars of the charge alleged that on June 2, 2018 at Canal Bank, Port Kaituma Hercules engaged in sexual activity with the girl by touching her breast and neck. He was represented by attorney-at- law Dexter Todd.

According to reports the child was laying on her bed when it is alleged that Hercules came into her room and pinned her down.

The man allegedly removed the child’s underclothes then began to play with her neck and breast. The teen told her mother who later reported the matter to the police.
The magistrate released Hercules on $250,000 bail and adjourned the matter until June 15, 2018.
