POLICE ranks were conducting a mobile patrol on Friday at Bamboo Landing, North West District when a male, who was sitting in front of a shop, got up and ran to the side of the shop.

The Police pursued and saw when he took out an object and threw it about four feet away into some bushes.

When the scene was checked, police retrieved a. 38 revolver with two matching live rounds.

The firearm was examined but there was no serial number visible. The suspect, 41, a detector operator of Blue Berry Hill, Linden, is being processed for court.
