Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Wednesday released a 45-year-old homeless man on 50,000 bail after he was charged with forgery and attempting to defraud the National Insurance Scheme (NIS).
David Ally, of not fix place of abode, denied that on May 7 at the NIS office on Brickdam he uttered to a cashier a forged disablement voucher valued $90,675 knowing same to be false.
Ally further denied that between February 13,2018 and May 7,2018 at Georgetown he forged his disablement pension voucher issued for the sum of $9,695 purporting to show that the sum is $90,695.
Ally told that court that he sustained injury to both of his legs and is dependent on his disablement pension. Police Prosecutor Simone Payne made no objection to bail which the magistrate granted in the sum of $50,000.

The matter was adjourned until June 6.
