Local businesses invited to exhibition in India

STAKEHOLDERS in all sectors are being invited to the Global Exhibition on Services (GES) from May 15-18 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India, Region Three Chamber of Commerce President Halim Kahn has announced.
Khan said the GES 2018 will provide an ideal platform to build trade linkages and business tie-ups.

He explained that the focus sectors for GES 2018 include banking and financial services, education energy services, environmental services, exhibition and event services, facility management, healthcare, IT and telecoms, logistics, media and entertainment, next gen cities, printing and publishing, professional services, railway services, retail and e-commerce, skills, space, sports services, starts-ups/SME, tourism and hospitality and wellness.

Khan said GES 2017 was a huge success with participation from over 573 companies from 71 countries (including India) and more that 5000 structured meetings.
GES 2018, he said, proposes to showcase over 20 services sectors and is expected to see participation from over 100 countries to promote Indian Services Sector globally.
“GES 2018 would provide an opportunity to connect with over 500 overseas delegates, 700 exhibitors and some 50,000 visitors,” the president of the Region Three Commerce said.
He said the Fourth Edition of GES is being organised by the Department of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Government of India, the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Meanwhile, Khan further noted that India is also organising the sixth edition of International Exhibition for Pharma and Healthcare (iPHEX 2018) from May 8-10 at Prgati Maidan Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

He said the exhibition is expected to see participation of some 400 Indian companies and for the first time, and will be having identified areas for showcasing APIs and intermediates, formulations, excipients and customs manufacturing, bio–similars, ayush, nutraceuticals, natural extracts, diagnostic and surgical, healthcare services, hospitals and medical tourism.

To create business opportunities, Khan said over 600 business visitors and regulators from all over the world have been invited, viz manufacturers, distributors, importers, drug regulators, pharma associations, chambers and government agencies, international journalists and service providers.

For this event, Khan said full airfare and accommodation can be considered for new applicants selected on the basis of the company profile and business prospects. Pharmexcil can cover partial economy air fare of US$ 1,500/- maximum and full accommodation for selected importers/business visitors/top drug regulators confirming with copy of air ticket.
