ULWIN Boston, 57, of Westbury Village, Essequibo Coast, was on Monday charged for robbery with violence when he appeared before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Charity Magistrate’s Court.
The charge stated that on April 27, he robbed Chaitwattie Sooknanan of cash and jewellery using violence in the process. The court heard that he choked the woman and took away her gold jewellery and cash amounting to $155 000.
Boston pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $250 000. The case will be heard again on May 21.
