Pomeroon farmer stabs brother during drinking spree

A 42-year-old farmer of Friendship Canal , Lower Pomeroon River in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) is presently in police custody after he stabbed his brother on Saturday afternoon following an altercation.
Reports are that  Mark Lyne Daniels, age 55  is nursing a stab wound to his back and is  hospitalized at the Oscar Joseph District hospital at Charity.
According to information reaching the Guyana Chronicle, around 1430hrs on Saturday,  Daniels and his brother were imbibing near their home when a heated argument ensued. The man’s brother then grabbed a knife and wounded him.
Persons in the area later assisted in transporting the injured man to the hospital.
The assailant was taken into police custody as investigations into the incident are ongoing. (Indrawattie Natram)
