SOL Guyana Inc. has a renewed vision and an energised team, ready to fuel tremendous growth in the local petroleum industry, according to General Manager Liz Wyatt.
“Guyana is on the verge of a major breakthrough to greater social and economic development, and Sol Guyana wishes to reiterate our committment to this nation that we have called home for just over 10 years,” she said Saturday.
“As the leading provider of petroleum-based products in the Caribbean Basin, we are excited about the new developments in the local petroleum sector, and are confident that we have the technical expertise to create an environment in Guyana where the petroleum industry thrives and produces exceptional benefits for the Guyanese people,” Wyatt told top business executives gathered at the Marriot Hotel to celebrate SOL Guyana Inc’s 13th anniversary.
“At the moment, we are really focused on the journey ahead of us, and we truly know we have the right team on board to really take things to the next level,” she said, adding:
“Our entire team shares this new vision for the company, which includes maintaining a superior level of customer service, consistently providing high quality energy products, as well as a commitment to being a good corporate citizen in Guyana.”
Sol Guyana’s new vision, she said, includes improving the company’s operational standards by further strengthening their Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
“Sol is well known for extremely robust HSE standards, and we are committed to making them even more meticulous,” she said, adding:
“Our goal is that as we continue to build a sound, safe and viable business in Guyana, we create a reputation for providing innovative petroleum-based solutions, and delighting customers with our superior service experience.”
Sol, the leading energy producer in the region, is a Shell Licensee and distributor of Shell fuels through a network of Shell-branded Service Stations.
Sol is also the Shell Macro distributor of Shell lubricants on the local market.
The Sol Group of companies operates in 23 countries across the Eastern Caribbean, namely Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Bermuda, Bahamas, Cayman, Belize, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Martinique and Guadeloupe.

The new management team, led by Wyatt as General Manager and comprising Commercial and Lubricants Manager, Ayanna Watson; Operations Manager, Felino Florendo; Human Resource Officer, Hollis Halley; and Financial Controller, Derick Lowe, has expressed its commitment to Guyana’s future and progress as the nation embarks on a new and promising journey to greater modernisation.
