ALL roads lead to the South Dakota Circuit today when the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club hosts the King of the Strip 2 drag race from 09:00hrs.

The meet will feature an attractive lineup of local drivers going toe-to-toe with competitors from Trinidad and Suriname and fans are in for a treat when the action gets going
The mouthwatering prospect of seeing a rail car run at the South Dakota Circuit for the second time in recent history is also going to be a main attraction of the day.

That, coupled with the drag bikes that both Suriname and Trinidad have brought is sure to set up a spicy encounter that will leave fans wanting more.

Early yesterday morning, the club was seen laying additional material to the track called track bite, which is intended to provide grip at the launch for those faster bikes.
Made possible by Tropical Shipping, STAG Beer, JAPARTS, B.M. SOAT Auto Sales, Mohamed’s Enterprise, Trans Pacific Motor Sales and Spares, Prem’s Electrical, E-Networks DEL Ice Co and Crystal Ice House, the event is sure to be a scorcher.

The club through a statement yesterday confirmed that in addition to the laying of the track bite, “The King of the Strip 2 will feature enhanced security and safety for both spectators and security.”
Admission is $1 000 for adults and 500 for children.
