-Essequibo clash with Select U-17 today

THE second round match of the 2018 GCB/Hand in Hand Insurance U-19 Inter-county between Demerara and Berbice has been moved to the Lusignan Community Centre Ground.

The game was scheduled to be played at GCC today, Saturday, April 14, but the GCC ground is in an unsuitable condition for play.

The match will now commence from Sunday, April 15 to Tuesday, April 17.
Meanwhile, the Board has advised that the match between Select Under-17 and Essequibo remains as per schedule at the Everest ground and will be played from today, Saturday April 14 to Monday April 16.

In their first game against the Select U-17, Demerara notched up an impressive innings and 13-run victory, with a record knock of 301 not out from skipper Bhaskar Yadram, while Ashmeade Nedd and Dwain Dick were outstanding with the ball.

Essequibo in their first round encounter with Berbice was steamrolled by the latter.
All games begin at 10:00hrs.
