THREE months after 30-year-old taxi driver Thurston Semple was charged for sexually assaulting two sex workers, he was on Friday charged again with penetrating a woman without her consent.
Semple of Tucville Terrace, Georgetown, is charged with sexually assaulting the woman on August 31, 2017, at Quamina Street, Georgetown, and engaging in sexual penetration with a woman without her consent.
He was released on $100,000 bail and will return to court on April 17.
According to a report, Semple picked up the sex worker from a city hotel and took her to a hotel as he agreed to pay her $5,000. He then tied the woman up and forced her to perform oral sex.
It is alleged that the man then went away leaving the woman in the room without paying her.
Meanwhile, in January, Semple was charged and released on $400,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for two similar offences.
According to reports, Semple, while working his hire car around Georgetown, would pick up sex workers and agree to pay them $10,000 to perform sexual favours. The man allegedly would take the victims into a house and tie them up before sexually assaulting them. Then he would leave them without paying and still tied up.
