– Seeking corporate Guyana’s financial support
GUYANA’S differently-abled cyclist Walter Grant-Stuart, a member of the Continental Cycling Club (CCC), has been invited to represent the Golden Arrowhead at this year’s Union de Cycling (UCI) C1 Paro-cycling event scheduled for April 28 and 29 at Circuit Gilles – Villengeneuve, Montreal, Canada.
According to reports, the CCC’s member said he has to raise $400 000 in order to cover all his expenses including airfare, accommodation and meals for the two-day activity.
According to Grant-Stuart, to date, Ansa McAl, under its ICool range of products, has already made a contribution towards his participation in the time trials and road races, while Guyana Cycling Federation’s (GCF) president Horace Burrowes committed the federation’s sponsorship for Grant-Stuart’s uniform.
The differently-abled cyclist expressed his gratitude to Ansa McAl for the support.
