POLICE in ‘G’ Division (Essequibo Coast, Essequibo Islands) have intensified their search for remand prisoner Leon Prince.

Ranks are presently confining their search in the backlands, and have erected road blocks at strategic points so as to ensure he would not escape.

The 22-year-old made a dash for it on Wednesday and has been on the run ever since, police say.

According to information reaching the Guyana Chronicle, when ranks went to check on him at the Anna Regina Police Station lockups, the first thing that they noticed was that one of the ventilation blocks at the western end was missing. And so too was Prince, who was on remand for several offences, and had been on the wanted list three years now.
