WELL known transgender personality, Otis Pearson, better known as ‘Otisha’ remains in police custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Chambers.

Police Public Relations Officer, Jairam Ramlakhan told the Guyana Chronicle that Pearson who is the person of interest in the matter of paedophilia, remains in police custody.
He related that Pearson was arrested on Tuesday after accusations were levelled against him as regards to him having sexual relations with underage boys.

The police indicated that the Child Care and Protection Agency was assisting with the probe and a file was compiled and sent to the DPP Chambers for legal advice.

Reports stated that the Child Care and Protection Agency (CC&PA) back in February closed its investigation into the alleged misconduct by Pearson, who was very vocal on social media and a television newscast that he “has a young for every day of the week”.

According to CC&PA’s Director, Ann Green, who conducted the interviews, the alleged victims are under age 16. In a recent television newscast, Pearson, accompanied by SASOD leader Joel Simpson, said that his statement “He has a boy for every day of the week” was misinterpreted and he denied having sexual relations with “little boys”.
However, a photograph later appeared with Pearson in the company of a young boy.
